Super-duper hard-lockdown coming? This morning, a fairly big hint came from Chancellor Merkel as she gave a speech in the Bundestag.
The hint is more or less....shortly after Christmas (I would suggest the 4th of January)....all stores (except pharmacy operations and grocery stores) will shut down. I might also suggest that for the month of January....schools might being home-schooling only.
Requiring the support of the sixteen states? Yes.
Public appeal? Probably a slight majority will agree on this.
The problem here is if you don't see a 4-star commercial Christmas shopping situation over the next 3 weeks.....it's going to be a harsh situation for stores to face.
