Nashville Chatter

Over the past week, a fair amount of German news coverage has occurred with the Nashville bombing.  I was kinda surprised at the extent....ARD (public TV, Channel One) almost on a nightly basis had at least 30 to 60 seconds of prime-time news over the event.

As the week progressed....they updated the story continually.

The ID of the bomber guy?  They laid out the basic details.

The association of the bomber guy to alien-UFO-lizard people?  Well...so far, they've stepped back away from that and merely suggest that he was a 'conspiracy' follower....skipping the lizard people angle.  In some way, I think they don't want to open this whole discussion.

Lizard people?  Back around 1929....some guy wrote up a piece for a science-fiction story...talking about 'serpent-people'.  It wasn't exactly a big news item at the time, but in a number of folks....the idea stuck around, and twenty years later....it had more added to the story and reflected more fantasy.  Maybe it was branded fantasy.  But as you got into the 1960s, tabloid printing took off, and writers simply took the lizard people up to the next level (they might be real).

Thanks to the internet....over the past thirty years....the lizard people story stands out.  If you bring up the trend with Americans, probably fifty percent will admit that they've heard of the topic, and maybe 5 percent of Americans will admit they believe in the lizard people bogus story.  Generally, if you went that far....you also get into the Bigfoot story, the Nessie story, etc.

This Nashville bomber guy?  Well, yeah....he got into the trend.

As for the continued telling of the bombing episode via German news?  I suspect that it'll be dumped as a story now because they don't want to open up this lizard people discussion with regular Germans.
