Covid-19 and Vitamin D Discussion

Over the weekend in Germany, if you previewed SWR (German public TV from the SW part of the country)....they came around to this short discussion (maybe 90 seconds) over several studies now done on the topic of Covid-19 and vitamin D.

In general (at least two studies), the science guys can suggest that people with a deficiency of vitamin D.....tend to have serious bouts with Covid-19.

Why?  That part of the discussion is empty.  They can't show the 'why', or lack of a relationship.

The fact that vitamin D has a relationship with your immune system?  Well....some thinking would suggest this path might figure into the discussion.

Bottom line?  More studies.  Maybe if you give them three or four years, they might lay out a strong relationship.  You might note here.....vitamin D is basically free....if you just stand out in the sunshine for a half-hour each day.  Course, with this...the older you get....the less absorption into your skin with vitamin D....so you'd have to make this more than 30 minutes.
