Logical Question to Ask

If you were a French, German or Spanish company, and standing underneath the C02 taxation 'umbrella' that the EU and your country gave you....with C02 taxation likely to 'hit' you....what's the odds that you would take your production and move to a non-EU country?

10-percent?

20-percent?

50-percent?

For several months, I've been pondering all this 'Fridays-for-the-Future' chatter and political hype to really hit European companies on C02 cost.

It makes no sense to me....for a company in this position....to play the 'game'.  I'd go and find a place (maybe Turkey, maybe India) and just studying the idea of production being out of Europe, and removing the jobs from existence.

The fact that most drugs are not made in Europe?  The fact that most refrigerators and washers are also not made in Europe?

So I'm really not that hyped up about the Green Party coming to power and having the Chancellor's chair.  I think jobs will leave the country, and production will dissolve within the region. Raising taxes on companies and thinking the 'rich' will pay the higher taxation rates?  No....they will all leave, and your finance guy will be spending their hours trying to explain how taxation revenue fell by one-third to half.
