1. NFL football has announced that two games in fall season will be played in Frankfurt. Dates to come in March. Patriots/Saints will be one of the games. Chiefs and Bears for the second game. Deutsche Bank Park will be the complex used (51,000 seats). I expect most tickets to be sold out within 24 hours after sales start.
2. Polling for the Berlin City election this weekend? It shows the CDU will win with 25-percent of the vote, SPD in second near 19-percent, and Greens at 18-percent. Some polls show the bulk of city voters disenchanted with the SPD-Greens-Linke Party running city operations.
3. ARD (public TV, Channel 1) ran a explanation of the story over the US possible involvement in the Nord Stream I/II explosion. They gave the basic details....gave the background over the reporter, then offered some skepticism over the story.
The fact that they did a fact-check segment? I'll just say this type of journalism is usually developed to convince you that it's more conspiracy than fact.
They did note that the AfD Party wants a truth-commission situation where the Chancellor details certain things.
4. WELT did a poll study on the idea if Germany was ever 'attacked'. One out of ten Germans say they would volunteer to participate in the war. One out of four Germans said they would leave the country (not saying where they would go).
Oddly, they left out who would be invading.
