More Oddities From the Halle Attack

More oddities?  yes.

So it's now reported via the German news that this shooter (identified as Stephan B.) had only marginal connections with his cellphone.  Right now....they are listing only five people that he ever called in recent years.  That's it.

There is a suggestion by some that there must be a second cellphone, but so far....nope, it's just that one.

So the German federal cops had to have a bit of help in figuring out where the IP address was for the broadcast of the manifesto occurred.

They couldn't do that themselves (begs for questions), so they turned to the NSA people (the US).  They quickly laid out the path....leading to a private residence in Monchengladbach (northern Germany).  They go to this house, which is shared between two brothers and their mother.  The guy responsible?  He hands over his PC with no real issues.

Near where the shooter suspect lives?  No...that's an odd part of the story.  Did the suspect ever physically meet the brothers or show up at the house?  No one can say that.

So you'd think....these two brothers connected up to the far right-wing extremist....they must be far right-wing extremists as well?  Well, no.  So far, the info is indicating that the guy responsible for the PC...is a far left-wing extremist.  He even admits himself to be fairly left-wing and can't understand how they tag him to being right-wing (if you believe the German journalists telling the story).  Again, the whole thing is suspect because maybe the guy is lying, but you have to wonder where this is going to lead onto.

Could you have left-wing and right-wing people mingling, drinking beer together, and conversing over general political topics?  Man, that would be a shocker (remember, that's how most people functioned up until the 1990s).

The manifesto being a product made by the suspect?  Well, that's not clear either.  He may have written it, or simply cut-and-paste from another source, or just been part of some gamer-group that wrote this manifesto in their spare time. Maybe in the days to come, things will be more clear on that.
