This got brought up during the week here in Germany.
A county-office that does the Covid-19 testing....will typically have one single doctor there to supervise. The rest of the personnel are typically volunteers or county-health workers.
Oddly, the system (federally constructed of course) pays the doctor a sum of 3k Euro (roughly 3.5k dollars) for a full day of work on the site. It is a fair sum of money....no doubt. Extra cash for the actual people collecting the samples? No.
Unfairness is being chatted about a good bit over this.
We are about six months into this business, and this only came out in the past week.
Resolving this? I would imagine as the Bundestag returns from vacation, they might pick this up and agree to some 'bonus' deal for the 'helpers'.
