1. The German Bundestag Parliamentary Control Committee says after this release of a secret Covid report (revealing it was a lab accident).....they want the whole report released....as is.
If this were to occur....the BND report would list 'what' lab was involved, and that means who financed the lab. I'm guessing this gets more messy.
2. A wife (on a tram) was set on fire by her husband....in Gera on Sunday. The two are from the nation of Georgia. Police say the guy walked away and they've been searching for him since.
UPDATE: Mon AM....husband went to a police station and turned himself in.
3. Rumor has it....that the CDU-CSU-SPD coalition talks will include a national pension change....where the contribution will go from 18.6-percent rate (of your pay)....to 22.9-percent.
A fair amount of public criticism exists over pensions and limited funds upon retirement. This would help to change things.
4. Wolfgang Kubicki (FDP politician) quote from a interview this weekend: “People are asking themselves who we have to vote for so that we don’t get left-wing politics.”
In some ways, he's pointing not only at the SPD, but also the CDU-CSU.
5. Just an odd alliance....party boss Wagenknecht of the BSW Party (no seats in the Bundestag) is calling for a "Prevent rearmament program", where the left (Linke/BSW) combines with AfD...plans to halt the present CDU-CSU-SPD rearmament of the Bundeswehr (German Army).
Yeah, it is one of the odd parts of the AfD Party....that they seem to be anti-NATO, and somewhat supportive of Russia.
6. Weekend fire in a disco in North Macedonia over the weekend.
Cops say 59 people dead. Arrests started up yesterday with disco management being held responsible....15 people arrested so far.

Why do you think it's odd of the AfD to support Russia? Ever since the 2015/16 Euro elections they've been parroting Kremlin propoganda and getting a massive funding and social media push by the Ruski's.
It's more a surprise that no one seems to care about it and label them as the traitors they are.
This 'parroting' was minimal and barely noticeable up until 2022. If you asked a average AfD voter....their only priority is deportation and limited migration, and if you asked about AfD's position on NATO or pro-Putin...they can't cite the position. If you go and read their program-page....it's there in black/white....you just have to dig around for it.
But I will say this....for Merz and crew....they need the economy in recovery, and to find a resolution for deportation issues...to lessen 2029's influence on the AfD's odds.
