1. Does anyone listen to Radio-Free-Europe anymore?
Well....RFE says that somewhere in the range of 50-odd million weekly listen in. An independent source? I spent an hour yesterday looking for 'other' numbers....not finding much.
There's a 2016 survey which found that 47-percent of Europeans listen to the radio (in general) weekly. Back in 2023, a German survey found that around 32-million Germans listened to 'something' daily on the radio. None of the surveys mentioned RFE.
Maybe in the 1970s/1980s....folks listened to RFE.....but I just don't see the same volume existing today.
2. That big effort to get more Germans to sign organ-donations a year ago....any success?
Well.....this topic came up last night on ARD news, and what they say....with the massive effort in 2024....the numbers haven't shifted...same trend.
3. Sausalitos in Germany bankrupt?
Yeah. It's a Mexican-food/bar chain. Fairly popular. Probably in the 1,000 employee range. There was one of these in Wiesbaden.
