1. ARD (public TV, Channel 1) did a story on the state of the German Army. The new incoming Defense Minister? He made a statement over the shortage of personnel. Most of the problem? Marginal interest in getting into the military. Blame? Well....he says that the draft/conscription....should never have ended.
Odds of conscription coming back? Pretty much zero....none of the political parties will touch this subject.
2. How much did Germany pay for the Covid vaccinations? Well....ARD says it was in the 13.1-billion Euro range....by the time you consider everything. Per person? It's roughly 153 Euro....although only around 65-percent got vaxed-up.
3. It's an interesting statistic....around 15-percent of German homes now have at least one streaming video service, and on average.....each subscriber is using it at least once a week, with 13-percent using it daily.
At the current pace....I would suggest by 2030....a majority of Germans will be watching more streaming video....than via cable or satellite.
