Five German News Stories (Thursday)

 1.  Bild story from Wed, around 60-percent of Germans are a bit shocked over Palestinian support/anti-Israel behavior going on in Germany.

2.  Per the SPD Party....for each two Euro spent on refugee accomodations....one Euro has to be spent on day-care.

3.  I walked around Wiesbaden yesterday (Wed) and spent an hour in one of my favorite coffee shops.  Typically, before Covid....there would have been 30 people sitting at 1 PM....in the shop entry, and loft sitting area.  There were a total of seven customers sitting there.  Normalcy.....has yet to return.

4.  FC Saarbrucken played against Bayern last night.....winning by a score of 2:1. Yes, rather shocking because FC Saarbrucken is in the 3rd league.

5.  Draft law being prepared over potential for older German houses which might have asbestos.  Law would mandate resolving this.  Cost factor?  It would bankrupt a lot of people in older homes.
