1. Via Focus, Carsten Maschmeyer wrote a commentary/article and basically said....if you were blunt and open in Germany about some 'evil' Israel as a non-German....it might be time to evaluate the cost of a airline ticket...in leaving Germany.
I read the piece, and would agree....there's just a lot of propaganda floating around...getting people hyped-up over a particular view.
The bulk of Germans having a negative feeling over 1930s Germany, the Nazi-handling of Jews, the cost of the Holocaust on society and perception of German culture? These things all add up.
The Maschmeyer commentary probably will disturb a number of non-Germans, but it's been this big 'hole' in society over the past decade....bringing in a large assortment of migrants, and figuring they would assemble under the German history/culture.
2. NFL day in Germany?
Well....via RTL-TV....there's around nine hours of NFL action today (one game out of Frankfurt).
It's an enormous amount of viewership for one single day. As for the numbers? It'll be discussed tomorrow.
I read in one piece.....from the 55,000 in Frankfurt....for that Dolphins-Chiefs game....they are expected in the range of 300 Euro per person to be spent on tickets, drinks, food, and 'extras'.
Americans who flew over to Germany, for the game? That's another odd factor. In one piece, I read that a minimum of 3,000 fans are visiting Germany for this one game.
If the stadium in Frankfurt could have held 100,000? Well....yeah, there's some belief that they could have staged 100,000 easily for this game. The curious thing...Frankfurt has a four-star public transportation system, and could have easily brought fans in from various cities within 100 km.
