From Yesterday's Demonstrations in Germany

Pro-Palestinian protests occurred yesterday....in Frankfurt and Essen.  Both cities have a fair amount of non-German population.

Watching the N-TV report this AM....the big chatter came up over what was viewed by journalists in Essen.  Fair amount of 'Allah Akbar' shouted within the group, and signs calling for the establishment of a 'Caliphate'.

For reference, a Caliphate is a 'government' which functions locally or within the state, under a Muslim spiritual leader.  Naturally, there would be extreme peer pressure for all members of the Middle Eastern cultures to tend the lifestyle observed by the Caliphate.

Generally, from conversations I had in the German language class with Syrians (back seven years ago)....their particular society would be extremely anti-Caliphate.

Where all of this generated propaganda/BS is going?  I would suggest that some group (probably leading back to Hezbollah/Iran) wrote the basic PR campaign months ago, and dedicated funds to ensure the message/brand-name got out into the public....charging up the new migrants/asylum seekers in Europe (particularly in Germany).

German reaction at this point?  The Interior Ministry is moving toward a hard-line over the pro-Palestinian situation.  Arrests are starting up, and there's likely to be a couple hundred folks brought before a German court over the next month or two.  Lawyers already lining up to challenge the arrests and court-action?  Probably so.

If the court system lingers or fails?  Well....then you get into the political season of Germany in 2024, with the EU election and three state elections (fall 2024).  You'd end up with more votes for a far-right agenda, and Germans themselves charged-up to drastically halt migration.

Walking around and just getting the top five problems in society now....having a large segment of German society as non-German....is brought up a good bit, and become a top-five issue.  For the political folks, there's worry now about where this is going to lead to (1930s scenario).

An urbanized issue?  Well....that's also part of this landscape.....most non-German migration paths have led to the bigger cities of Germany, getting a larger chunk of migrants.

If you were looking for an issue which puts fear into the hearts of most German politicians....I'd rate this as number one presently,  and unlikely to go away in 2024.

This Caliphate chatter?  Even around half of the Middle Eastern cultures in Germany...if you quietly brought this up....they'd have a harsh negative view of this discussion.

The odd thing?  These public forum TV shows in Germany will likely reach a point where they have to talk over Caliphates, and it's going to be seen as an extreme negative thing by the German public.
