So for months and months, up in Hamburg, there's been this 'hiding money' scandal going on....generally referred to as the 'cum-ex' scandal. Curiously, one of the key players thought to be involved....is the Chancellor (Scholz).
Yesterday, a new element of this fell into play.
There's two laptops that the investigation folks held in a safe, with hundreds of thousands of emails from/to the key players of this 'era'. Well....the two are missing.
Insider to the investigation involved? Probably, but you can't prove that.
Any advancing on the case against Scholz without the two laptops? No. I'm not a lawyer, but these would have been key to proving Scholz's involvement.
Odd that no back-up was set-up? Well....you would think that the value of the laptops were enormous for legal reasons...yet they don't seem to prioritize backing up the data.
