1. All this German federal and state 'bickering' over migrants and immigration? What's the real dynamics of this?
Basically, to run the 'support-function', it's a state thing...NOT a German federal operation. The sixteen states? They want cash-flow...a good bit.
This goes back a decade now....where the federal side of the German government has no idea of the amount of support required, the cost-levels, or the differing levels depending on what state you are in.
This all leading to chaos at the national level of the gov't? Yeah. And adding to the turmoil....if you were the federal gov't guy and realized the billions per year required, then stated this as factual to the public....the public would come back and ask how the invested money is paying the gov't back....getting no answer.
2. I sat and watched a ARD Tagesschau news piece this AM....topic: eighty-odd extreme right-wing 'clubs' now banned in Germany.
So what the authorities have now come to realize....as quick as you file paperwork for the police to react and silence the banned clubs....giving society some 'piece-of-mind'....a new extreme right-wing club appears.
Yes, you then spend several months gathering intelligence/data....to grasp that this new club, made up of the same folks mostly....now requires banning. So you start the paperwork, and it's banned. Then you wake up to realize another new extreme right-wing club has done a newly formed situation.
3. These 'energy certificates' required for apartment/house rental situations (costly little item if you intend to bring in a new renter) are now gauged to be worthless.
Some PhD folks added up consumption of energy for heating during the Covid era, and now realize that whatever numbers you use for the certificate over the past two years....aren't reflective of the true cost of heating a home. A lot of people stayed home and the heat required was more than normal.
Shocking? No....I think most people were already laughing over the gov't mandated certificate and it's true value.
