First, note that by lunch-time today in the German state.....they'd only seen around 22.4-percent of voters registered....who'd shown up. It's an indicator of marginal public interest.
Second, the announced numbers?
CDU: 36 percent
AfD: 22 percent
SPD: 8.5 percent
Linke Party: 11 percent
FDP: 6.5 percent
Greens: 6.5 percent
Third, the coalition? Well....it's a messy affair. The CDU can probably hook up with the SPD, FDP and Greens. You can figure at least six weeks to get the coalition agreement worked out.
Fourth, effect on the September national election? If you pulled anything out of this race.....the Greens didn't do well, and the Linke Party lost around 5 points off the 2016 election.
Finally, I should note that around 4 PM, around 40-percent of registered voters had voters, with the absentee ballots yet to be counted (after 6 PM). So it probably didn't go over 50-percent on registered voters.
