Illerkirchberg Court Case Wraps Up

I noticed this AM....a court case wrapped up....over a knife attack on two German school girls in Illerkirchberg (small town about an hour SE of Stuttgart).

I essayed about this six months ago.  Court wrapped up.

I originally had speculated that a mental review would occur, and the guy would be declared 'mentally unfit'.  I guessed wrong....the court went to the end, and had a verdict.  He's sentenced to life imprisonment.  One 14-year old girl dead....the other (13) wounded to a good degree.

Any early release?  No.....he'll have to go to 15 years minimum, and there will be a review to determine if he's dangerous (if so....he'll probably never be let out).

This guy (27 years old, Eritrean)....had some type of plans to exit the home on this morning of the murder....to use the knife to get German travel documents (travel pass/visa)....for a marriage-situation in Ethiopia.

This detail hasn't really been discussed much, and it would appear he had some kind of arranged deal going on.  It might be interesting to have this end of the story detailed but I doubt if the police or court want to tell this side of the story.

The knife was supposed to have been a 'threat' for the German gal/guy at the local Auslander office.  The logical side of this?  It's hard to imagine.  I've been at the local Auslander office (for my visa business) and will admit they have crappy security and any 'nutcase' could be a serious problem.

So here's the odd part of the story.....as he exits the house, with the knife in his hand....it's at this precise moment when the two girls are passing, and they obviously see the knife.  In this moment, he's decides that they have to be eliminated to protect his plan.

If you go and ponder upon this....one probably comes to the reality that his maturity level is no more than a 7-year old child.

Had they not seen the knife?  Well...some guy or gal at the Auslander office would have been the receiving end of the threat, and probably died that day.  Or you could imagine the scenario where they would have been stupid enough to issue a travel document, and allowed this Ethiopian gal (as part of the contract marriage) to enter Germany and be potentially murdered one day over some moment of disrespect with the guy.

It's just an odd story over consequences, and how you just accidentally walk by some house or nutcase, and never realize the impact of what you might see, or fail to see.
