Just Five Things

 1.  The riots in Paris?  It may not play out that much on the news, but within France....it's massive.  All because of the cops who stopped the 17-year old black guy (ID and car registration check) and some type of confrontation....where the kid was killed by the police.

Tens of thousands of police have been put on night-time duty.  Most cafes and bars are having restricted hours.

2.  Missing Russian general (Surovikin)?  Some allegations this AM that he had a connection back to the Wagner folks, and that he knew of the coup attempt coming.

Just odd how he folds up his situation and disappears.  Odds that he's in Turkey?  I' lay a bet on it.

3.  RTL (commercial German TV) has a investigative series ('Wallraff').  Around three years ago....they did a major piece on Burger King.  It went pretty negative and BK probably suffered a good bit.

So Wallraff decided to circle back around in the past six months, and do another 'hit' on BK.  However, BK kinda figured the angle out, and had a advertising campaign built precisely for Wallraff.  There's a 30-second commercial....basically telling the Wallraff folks to come out of the shadows.  BK even wanted to run the commercial on the Wallraff show....something that RTL refused to agree to.

4.  ZDF (public TV, Channel 2) does a polling show called 'Politbarometer'.  They gauge public support of political parties.

This week....by their survey....AfD is now the 2nd most popular party in Germany (at 19-percent).  The SPD....dropped one....to 18-percent, ranking 3rd now.

The Greens sit at 16-percent, and the CDU/CSU rank in first place at 28-percent.

5.  WELT had a major piece....talking over 200-plus claims against the Health Ministry involving the Covid vax situation.  Some far-left folks are openly discussing that the government is taking the position to protect the capitalistic companies from financial ruin.  Cost impact would mostly come from tax revenue.....not the companies involved.
