Police now say...at the protest site in Lützerath (NW Germany)....that some evidence exists that protesters have dug tunnels in the area and are 'camping' in them....to lengthen the protest period.
Odds of this? On my BS-meter....I'd give it a '7'....just not a tactic that any rational person would consider.
How long could this lengthen the operation? Even if you brought in the science and technology guys....you'd be talking about a month (my humble view) to eyeball and clear the area.
If I were a judge over this? I'd sign a statement and say after 3 days of warning....just let the coal company start digging and have a death certificate ready for whatever might come out of the 'mess'.
You could stage some explosives and just start blasting areas.....to give the activists some kind of warning.
The thought that this is just BS and faked-up? That's the other side of the problem.....you might have a lot of faked-up up phonecalls/emails as 'evidence'.
