Over the past day or two, via a dozen different sites reporting the Bundesliga situation....their concept to allow fans into the games looks this way:
1. Local fans will be the only one allowed into the stadiums....meaning traveling fans from the opposing and visiting club....will not be able to procure tickets. It'll aggravate a fair number of people.
2. Limited seating through the end of October. They aren't saying 50-percent of the seating or even 30-percent.....just that things will be limited on seats available.
3. You (as the fan with the ticket) will have to provide your name, address, and phone number....for tracking purposes. This also, will aggravate a fair number of people.
4. No beer. This will be discussed later in the season (early October) and it may be revised. What they are saying....no beer to be sold within the stadium. So you could buy beer walking up to the stadium or consume 12 shots of something while waiting in line to enter.
The Frankfurt arena has the capacity for 51k fans. Locally, they are saying their Covid limit will be in the range of 15k to 24k.
Profit 'pain'? Well....you go by half the seats not being available and no beer sales...it's going to be a long-term negative. Dortmund for example, has enough seats for 81k fans but the chatter going on is that they won't sell more than 15k of the seats during this early part of the season.
If fans come up with the virus in the first month? Pressure will start to shut down the season, or to limit teams to ghost-games (no fans).
