Q-and-A: 15 Nov 2021

 1.  Has the new SPD-led government taken charge since the election (7 weeks have passed)?

No.  There is no formal agreement between the SPD, Greens and FDP (figured to be the new coalition government).  They even admit on some top issues....there is no movement.  Expectation?  It has to form by Christmas, or just admit it's impossible, and go to plan 'B' (SPD government with the CDU-CSU).

2.  This chatter about forcing non-vax people into a lockdown situation?

Well, there is serious chatter.  Here's the problem....once you do this....you create two societies, and there's going to be serious conflict.  Once you get a couple dozen suicide situations where non-vax people were forced into a 'tiny' world....public perception will flip in a major way.  I don't see this lasting long (month, max).

3.  Major people-smuggling network existing in Germany?

If you watch public and commercial news over the past week....particularly on reports from the Polish border.....German police are closely eyeballing several groups and there's a serious amount of talk of a Syrian people-smuggling network existing.  What will happen here?  Unknown.

4.  'Fridays-for-the-Future' kids huffed up about the way that the Glasgow conference ended?

Yes, in a major way.  You will see a great deal of chatter over German social media this week, and I might expect a massive 'show' for Friday of this week.....demonstrations and attempts to tie up traffic.

5.  Privacy rights episode unfolding in Hamburg?

There was a group rape a couple of weeks ago in Hamburg.  Investigation started up and an average-speed situation developed....where people got peeved how the justice system was working.  So on social media....the names of the accused came out (with their photos).  It appears that the prosecutors are a bit angry how this tactic developed, and shocked how social media enveloped this whole mess.
