There's chatter going on in Berlin on extending the Covid ban rules another notch.....just at the city level itself.
Currently, if you live in Berlin.....the rule is that by train/bus.....you have to be 3G....meaning you don't board unless you are vaxed-up, recovered, or tested. And yes, cops do roam the system to check your status.
The new added rule? Up until now, you could ride the subway or tram with regular cheapo-surgical masks. As of the 15th, the new rule is that only people with the FFP-2 mask (the air-tight mask)....will be allowed on the subway system.
The hand-out deal? Well....what they say is that they (the city government) will issue out a FFP-2 mask to each person of a low-income.
