Bundestag Chatter

I was looking at news bits today, and the Linke Party turned up.

So if you go looking at the way that the Bundestag functions today....there's a limit to who can be in the 'big hall' at the Bundestag, because of Covid.  Its been that way for months and months.

So one of the people who are openly critical (day and night) of the government....is  Sahra Wagenknecht.

Wagenknecht, is probably one of the ten individuals there on the argumentative scale....maxing out at a ten.

So she picked up the Covid ban rules used in the building and now says they are unconstitutional.

Key view?

Well, she brings up that testing is used throughout German society now....to board buses and trains (for example), or attend restaurants or bars, or to use a fitness center.  So unvaxed members of the Bundestag ought to be given a test in the facility.

On this, she has a point.

Even for my local fitness studio....the city has mandated that being vaxed or recovered....simply isn't enough, so if you are not boostered-up (the 3rd shot)....you have to go and be tested (free of charge, of course).  It's a simple step, but it's adding 10-minute drive, and around 15 minutes to wait...then be tested.  Out of the 500-odd members of the studio?  I'd be guessing that 60-percent are stuck in this testing gimmick (even though they are vaxed-up).

So will Wagenknecht challenge this in court?  Maybe.  But since the ban rules change week to week....if you just wait....things will change on their own.
