Back around election time (Sep 2021).....the talk was that the 'poor' nurses would get a Covid bonus.
The deal discussed by the SPD-Greens-FDP? ONLY nurses who were in the quarantine wards would get this.
I noticed today via N-TV....more chatter on the topic. The CDU and Linke Party has stood and said you can't divide the nurses on this subject.....everyone in the nursing profession ought to get 'a' bonus..
How much? Well....it differs on you talk with.
One factor at play....they say up to 3,000 Euro could be handed out.....in a tax-free situation.
There's x-amount in the mind of the Health Minister, and he wants to talk over a billion Euro but only going to quarantine nurses. Figuring his deal.....x-number of nurses would get the full 3,000 Euro (I think). If you go across the entire spectrum....with this billion Euro chatter.....then each nurse probably gets in the neighborhood of 1,000 to 1,500 Euro.
My suggested fix? I'd go to the tax rates and make a rule that half of all taxes that the nurses get stuck at....be tax-credit and as long as Covid exists as a national 'plague'.....rank the nurses as only half-taxed. Freaking out the government folks? No doubt. Covid might be regarded as a 'plague' for twenty-odd additional years. But this would be a great enticement for young people to pick the profession.
