Five German News Stories

 1.  There's some chatter going on in Berlin....that the Last Generation activists want to shut down Berlin on 24 April (Monday).  The phrase 'still stehen' was used (total halt, stand still).

If you were looking for the most common theme of the activists in terms of demands?  It mostly leads to a permanent 9-Euro monthly ticket for use on rail/bus services, 100 kilometer speed limit on autobahns, and everyone agreed on "impending climate collapse".

I would offer the opinion...if the 24th does come true, a whole lot of neutral folks will end up being anti-Last Generation.  On selling the 'brand'....they are doing a lousy job.

2.  In an area about 50 miles west of Avanio, Italy....a Italian jogger was killed by a local bear.  Some regional folks are suggesting it's the first death-by-bear in a hundred years.  (I won't vouch for that)

3.  Another Russian Oligarch dead....40th since the war started.  Was into the energy sector.

4.  Reiner Haseloff, Premier-President of Saxony-Anhalt (CDU Party)....gave an interview, and lectured a good bit on 'unbearable' corrective language being used now (talking about 'birthing-people', otherwise known as mothers).

I will say that it's rare still to have corrective words used and the bulk of German don't seem to be accepting this trend.

5.  Gotthard Tunnel, along the Alps....was blocked by Last Generation activists as people took off for the Easter holidays.
