The Covid Patient Zero Theory

This is purely a story that Focus pulled up today, and I'll simplify it to some degree.

For the most part, Germans have sat upon the original Covid patiet revolving around Bavaria....where a 33 year old German guy was infected by a Chinese executive who'd come for a short visit/conference visit.  The Webasto company origin.....accepted as fact?

The Chinese visitor would get on a return flight, and show symptoms as the plane came to land back in China....while the Bavarian guy would then be visiting his local doctor.  Date?  27 Jan 2020.

For a long time....this was Germany's patient zero story.  Tidy....making sense....facts all coming together.

So a new story has been started by a the Charite Hospital out of Berlin.  Medical journal this past week laid out the new patient zero story.

In this story, a 71-year old German guy comes to the Berlin hospital...serious problems in breathing, and has a serious fever.  Day?  30 December 2019.

Doctors will note....the guy is hefty (fat), a smoker, and had a previous stroke.  So he's not in great health to start with.

Lung infection is the original feeling of the doctors.

Over the next week or two....they end up with some pretty strong solutions.  The guy does improve to some extent, but as he checks out 28 January....he's got what appears to be more stroke conditions, and weakened to a great extent.  He will die within sixty days.

If this were by itself....the story would not have much to go upon.  But there's a part II to this.....in that some relative came to visit, and also had a hefty fever.  Neither party was tested for Covid.

What the hospital people believe?  Covid was already in Germany around mid-December.  Chinese tourists bringing it during the Christmas season?  You could make up a scenario like that, but there are zero facts to support it.

If there were some pretty sick Chinese tourists?  Well....they should have sought some health care and there would be another mention, but you can't find any story that relates to sick Chinese tourists on a German Christmas tour.
