RTL TV (commercial TV) did a political poll:
CDU/CSU would only get around 25-percent of the public vote (to win) if an election were held today.
SPD? Pretty crapped-out at 17-percent (3rd place). With Green Party at 15-percent in 4th place.
Shocker? AfD Party sitting at 21-percent. That's almost double what they would have gotten in 2021's national election.
Why this 'twist'? Well....when you gaze at the coalition (SPD-Green-FDP)....they've had severe issues in selling their programs and big-ticket ideas. The help from public TV? I won't say that it's helped that much.
You have a fair segment of German society who want an opposition to the coalition, and the AfD is selling their ability to be that opposition.
