Three German News Stories

 1.  Focus had a piece talking about an odd political situation.  From the Green Party, at the national level....there's ONE single member who is a craftsman....the rest are all university folks.

A fair amount of criticism is dished out....especially in terms of connecting the party message on heat-pumps (the recent big-ticket agenda item) and the inability to build some public message.

In a way, they probably are correct.....you would prefer to hear a heat pump talk with some actual technician who can relate things to a consumer/user....rather than hear some rocket-scientist or lawyer explain it

2.  German cops moved in and arrested a 'spy' in Koblenz.....working at the Bundeswehr (Army) procurement office.  Russian connection to the spy.

3.  Some weird story over a potato today.  In Hessen, some gal had bought a bag, and was having a baked potato....biting into it, and discovering a wedding ring, with a date/initials on it. Search for the owner is underway.  Date inscribed?  21-2-1953.  I'd say the odds are that the guy is long since passed on.
