Germany and Covid-19: 9 September 2020

1.  Focus brought up an interesting situation over the German Bundestag (their 'Congress').  Summer vacation has ended, and the representatives are coming back to Berlin now.

So, masks are now mandated and required within the big hall.  Wearing time and disposal instruction have been set and published (yes, you have to dump the paper-masks daily).

But they got around to C02 values, and hint that after 30 minutes of wear....depending on the type of mask....you need to 'undress' the mask and allow free air to occur.  Then in the same statement....they say that this is not based on scientific evidence/documentation.

It's probably going to beg questions and some PhD guys are going to survey the mask business....later admitting that C02 issues are worth discussing.

2.  Some discussion started up about a Russian-flu in the period of 1889 to 1895, and that might have been related in some way to the Covid-19 business.  Factual data to accompany the story?  Marginally...none.

3.  Starting next Monday.....groups of 7 or more in the UK are forbidden, because of the increasing number of infections.

4.  Those test-centers in Bavaria near the entry points into the state?  All hyped up in August?  Shutting down now.  ARD-TV news says by the end of September....they will all be gone.  Success or failure?  There are 44k test results which were never deliverable to the consumer/entry participant.  Don't ask how this got so screwed up.

5.  Frankfurt book fair?  To be held but only in a virtual world.
