N-TV (commercial news in Germany) reports this morning that the Berlin hospital where the Kremlin critic Navalny is being housed while in recovery from the poisoning act....has ramped up security with more police and controls.
Fear of another attack? Apparently, they have some type of information that another attempt will be made on the guy.
Stupidity of the Russians to do another attack? Right there in the recovery hospital in Berlin? You'd be opening up a massive Pandora's Box and push Russia relations way out of reach.
I can't see how any logical Russian would see this second potential attack as a positive. The pipeline project (the Nord Stream II pipe) would absolutely go to a freeze position at that point, and the Germans might even go crazy enough to decrease the amount of natural gas they buy from the current old pipeline (figure around 40-percent of all natural gas used in Germany comes from that one pipeline).
