There was an interesting report over at N-TV this morning....over the Covid-19 test options.
There's work being done on a quick-type of test (one that you could do in a local pharmacy or school), with a PC-sized box. You'd walk in and provide a sample....wait fifteen minutes, and be told of your results.
The US version selling? Tests cost around five dollars (4 Euro), but their results are more skewed than you'd appreciate. In this German version....so far, they aren't talking about a price. My humble guess is that it might arrive and in the range of 10 Euro.
As for being accepted by the general public? If your insurance wasn't covering it.....it probably wouldn't be widely accepted. But I can't see insurance companies jumping onboard with this technology unless the results were like 99-percent accurate, and some type of limit.....like only one or two tests per month.
