Results of Yesterday's 'Alarm-Day'?

Hit and miss.

Focus wrote up a short presentation over this, and there are various issues that occurred.  This was supposed to be a full-up nation-wide test.....to alert all Germans at the same time of some 'crisis' or catastrophic event.

The national server to send out a warning to your cellphone App?  System was overloaded, and this was way more than they had designed it for.

Sirens?  Some went off at the right time.....some were five minutes late (in my valley, it was late).

The term 'flop'?  It was used a good bit.

So here's the thing....they haven't run something like this in thirty years...that probably played into part of this.  The over-use of technology tools?  That also played a minor role in this.  They will  discuss the problems and repeat the test in twelve months.
