Just Pondering

There's been talk recently in Germany, by politicians....that a Covid-lack-of-vaccination-fine will be proposed in 2022.  Amount?  Not defined, but I would assume it has to be a minimum of 500 Euro (per year).  The Austrian number mentioned (same idea) is 3,600 Euro.

I've sat and pondered over the concept.  I've come to a new reality on this idea.  We should do it....but at a more intense level.

For example.....you go up to buy a pack of smokes, there should be a 12 Euro fee attached to each pack....to encourage you to quit.

For example, there should be a January weigh-in in your village or city....if you weigh 10-percent over your ideal weight....you get to January of the next year to lose that weight, or you start paying 90 Euro per kilo extra.

For example, if you contract some sexual disease, there should be a 2,000 Euro safe-sex fine.

For example, the gov't should monitor your alcohol consumption, and once you go past a certain level....a 40 Euro per day fine should be handed to you.

For example, a you-should-vote situation should be mandated, and if you failed to vote in a regional/national election....there should be a 300 Euro fine handed to you.

The blunt side of this....we should screw anyone and everyone who isn't with the agenda of improving society.  Screw them without hesitation, and just take their money if they don't cooperate.

(Note:  This is usually where a government falls down into a pit and is unable to gain trust from the public.)

I know you're being sarcastic but how long before Germany takes up the Austrian covid model?

Judging from what I read internationally and what you have been reporting from Germany, it seems like it's only a matter of time before the German unvaxxed become less a free citizen and more a criminal in the eyes of the government.

This is a slippery slope where there is no point of return to normal.

Shame on Germany and its leaders if citizens demanding medical privacy become pariahs to society.

First, Scholz made the comment months ago that a mass mandate wasn't workable, and as Chancellor...he can guide things in various ways.

Second, there's that little EU regulation (Resolution 2361, Jan 2021), which says you (EU citizen/resident) have the right to the vaccine, and the right to decline the vaccine. All of the EU members voted for it, so you can't dump it unless they all agree to dump it. No one much in the German media mentions it and few politicians remember seeing it pass.

My humble guess is that the Bundestag will get hyped up and mandate at least the medical/caretaker field must vaccinate, and then it'll get immediately challenged in court....with the court saying 'wait a minute'. The challenge gets the whole mandate delayed six months....then tossed out.

Same issue will occur in Austria, and their mandate will be tossed. Same for that stupid tax in Greece if you don't vaccinate.

Funny how the EU has come to rescue people....when most always question their necessity to exist.

Finally, there were words yesterday in the news on this nasal formula. Tests going well....might be in production by March. They say that it was even better at preventing Covid, than the vaccination itself. What they didn't say....cost-factor, and missing the point that you'd be using this stuff daily for the rest of your life. I expect this to be front-page news by end of January with more hype on it's development.
