There was a great piece on N-TV this AM....entitled: "Company Car Including Ejection Seat" with commentary by Sabine Oelmann. I strongly recommend a read.
What she centers upon is the public TV scandal forming around RBB and their former director.
What the hype is about? "Greed and presumption." In simple terms....you reach a level in life where you think you can get away with things (as a manager/director) and you lose sight of reality. You start to do things that would get you fired if you were a middle-manager.
No one giving the RBB 'boss' warnings? I don't think anyone around her felt they were in a safe place to suggest a self-examination.
The Boris-Johnson-syndrome? Yeah, you could call it that. He was another person who simply didn't see things in the light.
Somewhere around age forty, if you were on the high-road for management....you ought to be sent off for a 90-day 'rehab' where you get a strong dose of civil behavior and tips on avoiding scandal later in life.
