I went to the Wiesbaden wine-fest yesterday. I had a grilled schwank steak (marinated heavily, with onions) and pommes (fries) on the side. The plate....at the last wine fest held in 2019 (before Covid) would have run around 11 to 11.50 Euro. If you went back to 2016? It was probably around 10 Euro at that point.
This price yesterday? 13.50 Euro. Roughly 20-percent higher.
Wine up as well? Well...yeah, I probably paid in the 20-to-25 percent range higher for a glass of wine.
People willing to pay the higher prices? I think Covid has reshaped people to accept this, and just be happy you aren't in quarantine status.
