Germany and Covid: 7 Oct 2021

There's an interesting Germany/Covid story this afternoon.

So last night, if you viewed official numbers...for the fully vaccinated (2 shots), the number was 64.8 percent.  For the first shot folks, it was set at 68.3 percent.

Well....the RKI (Robert Koch Institute) folks (the official voice in Germany over Covid) did some numbers research.  In some weird way....they were 'off'.  Don't ask how.....just accept it.

So what RKI says this afternoon?  80-percent of adult folks are fully vaccinated, and 84-percent of adult folks have had the first shot.  This generally means that in three weeks....you could assume the national vaccination number is 85-percent (adult-wise).

Kids?  Whole other story on that.

The idea that by the end of November....they might have 90-percent of the adult population vaccinated?  It's a pretty reasonable bet.

The goal achieved?  Well....in mid-2020, they were hyped-up and talking 65-percent was a great expectation.  As they reached that....then the Chancellor talked up that they needed to reach 80-percent.  So, at this point, I think they can start shutting up and getting on with regular life.
