This rumor of a NFL regular season game to be held in Germany? ARD (Channel One, public TV) says the NFL has deal mostly done. Only question is city to be selected for the game.
In the running? Frankfurt, Munich and Dusseldorf are on the list. If you asked me on Frankfurt getting the nod....I'd say there's a fair amount of interest in the local region.
When? Rumor says 2022 season is unlikely but likely to occur by 2023 season.
You'd basically be talking about one single game each season....to be held in Germany, and it'd rotate between teams.
How many Germans are into NFL games? NFL says in the range of 19-million (I doubt the number but that's what they say).
One odd aspect I see this year.....college football games are now being broadcast on Saturday evenings (late) in Germany.
