France: Nuke Power on Upswing?

Well, to lay this into a discussion.....President Macron of France came out yesterday (Tuesday) and announced a government plan to update nuke power in France.  Cost factor?  Thirty Billion Euro over five years (roughly 40 billion US dollars).

The name of this plan?  'France 2030' (catchy title, I will admit).

So to sell this to the environmentalists.....he says it'll cut the CO2 problem (which he is totally correct about).

All of this circling back around to 'green' hydrogen?  That topic has been brought up.

The French say that around 70-percent of their current power grid....is nuke power, and the general plan is to stick with the number or improve it.

Not in agreement with the German plans (zero nuke power by end of 2022)?  Well.....that is part of the problem.  Macron is saying a newer and more safe version of the nuke plants can be at the end of this whole developmental stage.

This might be worth watching.  We'll all be laughing as the German grid gets short on capability, and the French offer to sell grid power to them....at a hefty price.
