Lot of rumors and speculation going on about the incoming SPD government (partnering with the Greens and FDP). Focus wrote up an article on this and laid out some of the rumors. I will point out....Scholz has NOT identified the posts yet.
So their speculation is that Habeck (Greens) will end up as Vice-Chancellor and Environmental Minister. He's had a state position like this in the past, and is generally regarded as a level-headed guy.
On the Foreign Minister job? They are suggesting that Baerbock (Green Party) will end up in this job. Past experience? Zero.
Finance Minister? The FDP's Lindner probably gets the nod, and has the background for the job.
Defense Minister? Lars Klingbeil of the SPD is being suggested. Background? None. But you could say from the past five Defense Ministers.....none really had any experience/background for the job.
Interior Minister? Marie-Agnes Strack Zimmermann of the FDP. On blunt character and someone you'd want in a chaotic situation....she probably fits.
I would suggest in three weeks....the list ought to be finalized and officially announced.
