Last night, I couldn't sleep that well, and at 1AM....I turned on the TV....to the Bavarian public TV network (BR).
The movie showing? Some weird Italian western from 1966....called the 'Dead Amigo'.
Basically, it's the Mexican revolution underway, and a whole bunch of marginal acting, great landscape, with a marginal script....but turning out to be an entertaining western.
You would think that the public TV crowd would wise up eventually, put up a new public German network with just old movies (using some vast library from Italy, Yugoslavia, East Germany, France, Spain, Germany, and Poland). Yes, round-the-clock old movies.
