Covid Chatter

I got up and watched N-TV news this morning (German commercial news).  Hype?  Covid infection rate now at all-time record (as of 3 AM this morning)....set at 232.1 (per 100k).

Yeah, it's almost doubled in the past eight days.

Just general perception....I think a lot of people figured the vaccination business would resolve things and we wouldn't go past the Christmas 2020 high rate of infection.

Hospital admissions because of Covid?  Edging up.....but not at a critical point yet.  Some regions are reporting their ICU situation is near a maxed-state.

All of this driving new ban rules?  Yeah.  Shutdown chatter?  Not yet.  My humble guess is that when they get near the 250-to-300 infection rate....this will become a open discussion once again.  The fact that the epidemic status is supposed to end on 25 November?  The federal law says it ends unless you renew the epidemic.
