1. The German federal Statistics Office went and surveyed all of 2020, and yesterday published their estimate. They say 4-percent of Germans who died in 2020.....died of Covid (roughly 40,000 deaths connected).
2. Newly infected (as of Friday night) for all of Germany: 37,377. Yeah, it's a trend line going upward.
3. Same trends in Denmark? Yes. However back in early September....they announced an end to the epidemic. No masks, no social distance rules, and no paperwork to drink at pubs or eat at restaurants. Intentions of reverting back to the rules? No....full speed ahead.
4. State of Thuringia has just about filled every ICU bed, and the Premier-President says that if you 'help'.....you probably will be turned away from the state heath system.
5. Current incidence rate: 187....per 100,000. Yeah, it's fairly high for the national rate.
6. The hospital admission rate for Covid....across the whole country? N-TV had a piece this morning on updates, and they say the current rate has hit the general peak of what existed around Christmas time of 2020.
Locally (in my town of Wiesbaden)....there are a total of 89 dedicated ICU beds (quarantine area) and there's only 8 bed left 'free'.
