Jens Spahn (CDU) spoke up this morning over Covid, and the regulations likely coming now. Focus did a decent report over this.
'Free' Covid tests are coming back....paperwork will be signed this morning. More details by early next week apparently.
3G mandates will be forced in the work-place (meaning you are vaccinated, recovered, or tested). If you are non-vax and working? Well....somewhere in your morning show-up at work....you will probably do a self-test.
Limiting people at events? It's in the list of things planned and discussed. 'Ghost' games for soccer probably come back, and concerts will be cancelled.
The 'urgency-weight'? As of last night, from previous 24 hours....42,800-odd Germans are newly infected. Day before, just over 50,000. Presently in the country (83-million).....there's around 388k residents on home/hospital quarantine. Folks in the hospitalization situation? Just over 2,800 across the whole country, and around 1,440 on ventilators (your odds of survival severely diminished).
All of this comes from approximately eight weeks ago, where the numbers were amazingly low....the hype for 'Freedom-Day' (the end of the epidemic set for 25 Nov by law) was enormous and everyone feeling the virus had been beaten.
The general problem I sense....this comes early on in November and some people might go and suggest that we are more than twelve weeks away from spring weather and the anticipated 'normal' drop in Covid numbers. The fear-crowd are swaying back and forth....in a panic, and realizing all the bad stuff (curfew at 9PM, no human contact, shutdown of stores and restaurants) is on the horizon.
