From the episode I reported yesterday....police have been busy interrogating the Syrian refugee who attacked 3 men on the Bavarian route. While they were fairly wounded....all appear alive at this point.
So, during the police conversation....the guy said the 'magic-phrase'.....he'd been carrying a knife for a while, and when asked 'why'....he responds that he felt that he was continually followed (one of those dozen-odd things that paranoid schizophrenic folks say).
I'll just suggest that the judge invokes a 60-day visit for a mental review, and the prosecutor will agree with the judge eventually.....put the guy into a permanent mental facility rather than assault charges and regular jail.
As for the moments in the train when the action was going on? As the train halted, the engineer apparently came out of his 'cockpit' area....grabbed a fire extinguisher, and went to oppose the guy. In addition....some gal also pulled out a hair spray container and used it to hold the guy back. Police came shortly after that.
I have to give the engineer some credit....fire extinguisher makes a pretty good 'weapon', and the hairspray gal was pretty creative as well.
