I sat reading this carbon tax development. What they want is a 'number' assigned to each bar of steel or each screw on carbon used, and no matter who in the EU made it....the tax would be the same. So when China or India comes up to sell their product, they would be assessd a tax.
Agreeable across the member states? Well, I'm guessing at one or two members won't agree to this idea.
Who would get the tax revenue? That's also not clear....I might assume the EU itself.
