Regionally around Germany, there just aren't that many 'steak-houses' in existence. Today....the Maredo steak-house chain popped up in the news. ARD did a pretty decent update on this episode.
Maredo operates around 37 steak-houses. Here in the Wiesbaden area....there's one.
I'd generally give them a 3-star rating....they were more expensive than regular German restaurants on the steak options, and the salad bar was two-star at best.
Well....Covid-19 has done the deal upon them, and they are collapsing (bankrupt). Paperwork will be turned in within 60 days.
On ordering and pick-up.....they just couldn't get ahead. Total number of employees being let go? Up around 900 to 1k. Finished for all of them? No.....they suggest that 15 might survive on after this bankruptcy.
