This construction topic got brought up today, and it's a curious piece. N-TV is the source.
So you as a German go out and decide to renovate an older house, and you have 'construction-waste' at the end.
The general cost of getting rid of the waste? Over the past decade....it's gone up 10-to-15 percent. They even admit in some regions....it might be 40-percent higher over the past decade.
Chief reason? Regulations. They differ from city to city....state to state.
Paying attention to the differing materials, and regulations for each group? They point out....if your contractor is some idiot.....they might do some really stupid stuff, and get fines.....which in most cases, the idiot will probably come back to you (the home owner), and beg you to pay his stupidity.
Just another reason why costs for everything is going up.
