Another Mental-Case Murder

Last Friday, we had an incident here in my regional state of Hessen.  What the news people basically said by Friday evening....near a school in Witzenhausen (about a 90-minute drive NE of Frankfurt, fairly rural area)....a guy in a VW ran down a couple of school kids (on the sidewalk).  One 8-year-old girl dead, and two seriously injured.

At the time....no one could make sense out of the 'accident'.

As days went by....the police came  to this bit of information that wasn't known on the Friday....this guy (Turkish in nature)....had mental issues.  The Frankfurt paper reports this from Wed.

Prosecutor now?  Well.....filing charges (for murder).

Odds of this reaching that stage?  Probably near zero.  Once this mental stage is known....the judge will ask for a review....probably taking a minimum of six months.

They aren't saying precisely what the mental issue is.

The odds that the guy will go off to some mental facility for the remainder of his life?  I'd give it a 90-percent chance now.
