Political Chatter

This morning, off Focus, there's a two-minute chat piece by Jan Fleischhauer, on the topic of teenage activists and why politicians probably don't pay much attention to their demands.

A lot of this leads back to the creator of the 'Fridays for the Future' teenage group in Germany....Luisa Neubauer.

If you haven't noticed....while the coalition-building talks are still taking place between the SPD, Greens and FDP....there's a lot of hype/criticism about 'promises-made', and how 'Fridays-kids' are very unhappy with the progress.  Do the politicians care?  For  the most part.....no.

If you added up the votes (potentially) from the 14 to 18 year old group....with the upcoming vote law to allow 'kids' down to sixteen years old to vote.....it amounts to something like 3-to-3.5 million votes.  It's not enough to stake a claim or 'own' the politicians.

I recommend a viewing of his chat.
