This story has been widely told over the past day or two....via a dozen-odd news sites, so I'll just tell the basic story.
There's this 'club'....Chaîne des Rôtisseurs....made up of people who are into fine dining/cooking, and truly gourmet enthusiasts. They decided months ago....to have a meeting up on Sylt (the northern German island where 'fine' people hang out).
No one says much over hygiene practices....but generally, all hotels in Germany are making a huge effort to enforce the normal basic rules (masks, social distancing, etc).
So the meeting occurred in the past week or two. From this event....thirty of the gourmet folks got Covid in the days since. I should note....all thirty were full vaccinated (meaning they had both shots and had the time after the second).
